Cinder Rose House / 2011
Private House. Testaccio, Rome

The intervention is part, along with “Tuscan Red House” and “Clay House”, a recovery operation to three houses within the neighborhood of Testaccio in Rome occurred simultaneously. In all three cases has tried to keep the memory of the building emphasizing some peculiar aspects highlighted by contrast with some elements of modern flavour. The Rose Cinder House is the result of an attempt to create a refined white container with flashes of pink, favorite color of the owner, to house works of art, musical instruments results from a choice dictated only by the strong love and passion of the inhabitants of the House. The upholstery, curtains, carpets and fabrics that cover the chairs , shades of pink read following the suggestion of an area that is primarily the story of a personal history.

L’intervento fa parte, insieme a “Tuscan Red House” e alla “Clay House”, di un’operazione di recupero di tre case all’interno del quartiere di Testaccio a Roma avvenute contemporaneamente. In tutti e tre i casi si è cercato di mantenere la memoria dell’edificio sottolineandone alcuni aspetti peculiari evidenziati dal contrasto con alcuni elementi dal sapore del tutto moderno. La Cinder Rose House è il risultato del tentativo di creare un raffinato contenitore bianco con sprazzi di rosa, colore preferito di "Donatina", per ospitare delle opere d’arte, degli strumenti musicali risultati da una scelta dettata solo dal forte innamoramento e passione degli abitanti della casa. Le tappezzerie, i tendaggi, i tappeti ed i tessuti che rivestono le sedute declinano le sfumature leggere dei rosa seguendo la suggestione di uno spazio che è soprattutto il racconto di una storia personale.
